Can You/I Edit Title to Thread?

Can my title in my trip report be edited? I listed it as "China Eastern from SHA-SZX", but it was "China Southern from PVG-SZX".

Can you do this for me, or can I do it myslef?

Thanx.

You should be able to do this yourself, by clicking the "Edit" button in your post. Look for the Title field to edit.

If you are denied permission, though, contact the forum moderator.

That allows me to edit the sub-title, but not the entire thread topic title???

Whoops, you're absolutely right... sorry about that. We haven't enabled Title editing for the main user group. Contact the moderator for that forum and ask them to edit your title.

How can you change title

Hello,
I have selected a title for a report that I don't like and I would like to change it. I went to the article, clicked on edit, changed the top line for Title, it showed up on my copy but when I logged out and came back the article still had the same title.
So how do I change the title...asuming I can.

Regards,
Robert

If you are talking about changing the topic of a thread started by you, you need to contact the moderator of the forum in which the thread resides, either by private message or by e-mail. The moderator will be happy to edit the thread title for you.

If there is no moderator for that forum, you may contact [email protected] with your request.

Only moderators and FlyerTalk administrative personnel (as well as Randy Petersen) can change the title of a thread. However, as you may have discovered, Robert, you may change the title to a milepost authored by you at any time, as often as you wish.

The term "milepost" does not seem to appear in the FAQ. What does it mean?

It is a term I coined for a post on FlyerTalk, although I am sure other FlyerTalk members came up with it well before I did.

Please accept my apologies for any confusion in which I may have caused, Middle Seat.

FWIW, you can change the title of your thread within something like 5 minutes of posting.

I should have included the following in my earlier “milepost” in this thread:

For the definition of a milepost, please click here.

Change thread title in forum w/o mods?

Is it possible to change the title of a thread? I created a thread with a title I'd like to change so it's less sensational and more accurate. Who do I contact since the AS forum doesn't seem to have a moderator?

PM a moderator in the forum who can change the title for you.

(I have no idea why only moderators can do it.)
