It is indeed available at the App Store. New functionality will appear in the next release, which is imminent.

Thank you,

Paul

Flyiboy, what/where/how are you trying to upload a photo? can you give me specific steps you are following & what happens?

IBobi May 31, 2011 3:57 pm

Aragno, I will pass your suggestions on to the dev team; it's unlikely they will appear in the next version as it will be coming out shortly.

iPhone does not provide a way to refresh thread list or even new posts in a thread

Single posts links that are long do not parse correctly

A way for clicked links in ft iPhone app to stay in iPhone app instead of safari

sometimes posts contain weird information about smartphones (especially blackberry) that doesn't seem to be relevant to the post

That's something that happens on the regular non-mobile site, too. That text is inserted into the body of the post when a user posts from the FT WAP mobile site. It can't be hidden after that since it's in the body of the post.

Live in GOT.. From iPhone 4. I go to the app and touch my profile pic It then gives me an option to choose from library or take photo. I chose from library. I click on the pic and then... Nothing happens

Safari works just fine when I view FT on my iPad..
True, technically. But the experience of a good iPad-specific app is far superior to web browser experience.

sunk818 Jun 2, 2011 5:18 pm

Search results (shown as posts) go past the table cell and then overlaps on top of the next cell. The text becomes blurry and unreadable.

...

Going back to refreshing forum threads... the facebook app lets you refresh by pulling your finger down (like you were viewing the top of the page)

I thought ads were removed in the last update... I haven't seen them in weeks and today they're showing up again. What's the deal?

IBobi Jun 2, 2011 6:34 pm

As per my previous post, the newest free version of the iPhone app will show ads; there will be a for-pay version which will be ad-free for a small fee.

App for iPad?

The 960x640 resolution just isn't cutting it for me. Any plans for an iPad application?

I tried using 3rd party forum reader apps, but they can't access the main forum threads through "www.flyertalk.com/forum/index.php" (I assume this restriction is on purpose).

There are no current plans to optimize the app for iPad, as the experience would be very similar to using the full site in the Ipad browser.
