Concur. But it seems to run slower.

No, Concur is a well written travel expense management app (and they own TripIt). Please don't tarnish their name associating them with this pig. :)

Hi all,

Earlier this week an update to the FlyerTalk iPhone app was posted to the iTunes store. This update was intended to roll out some new features to the app, and featured an ad-free experience.

The app is being re-released once it clears the iTunes approval process. It will again present new features and will come in two versions, a free app and a paid app with an ad-free experience for a nominal fee.

The Android app is also currently unavailable and will be available again soon.

Paul

+1 (May 21, 2011) I can't find it anywhere either.

I'm an iPad user and tried using the app "Forums", which actually comes with the Flyertalk forum already listed. However, when loading "www.flyertalk.com/forum/forum.php", all the Airline Program threads (and many other threads) don't show.

How can I get FlyerTalk to work on a forum app?

KS530 May 24, 2011 8:48 am

I have yet to be able to connect to the forums. Every time I try to navigate around I get the following message:

"There appears to be a connection issues between your device and FlyerTalk. Please try again."

Happens all the time regardless of whether I'm connected with 3G or wifi.

Where are you downloading from?

IBobi May 24, 2011 6:48 pm

Not downloading -- replying to KS530 who already has the app.

The app is currently in review at Apple and will be on iTunes shortly.

I've never once been able to connect since downloading it a week or two ago from the iTunes store.

+ removed adds

- Disappointing is that the new app's 'Newest' section now only shows truly new threads and not new posts. Was way better before to watch trending threads with new posts.

Thread titles missing from top when reading a thread.

Links still not working. A big pain for many, I am sure.

Download AVSForum.com app (free) and note their links work within the app. Also, their toolbar at bottom is a great feature and customizable in app.

I think forum runner is the company developing or providing the platform for the app. Have a look some time.

I believe links work fine if you click into the post first. Please let me know if this is not the case.

Thank you,

Paul

Links to other posts try to open in Safari (still failing by having first part of URL repeated). Any way to have links open in the app? The AVSForum app also does this which is a convenient feature.
AVSForum app also performs Push Notifications of PMs and Subscribed Threads- another nice feature for staying on top of followed threads and communication.

Just some ideas.

Any ideas why I can't upload my pic on the iPhone app ?

Do we have any idea of the timeframe on this?

I think it's up. I just updated the app this morning. I haven't used it enough to gauge whether there's much in the way of new functionality--once I discovered there was still no way to view the most recent unread post, I quit trying.
