How to Get Rid of those Annoying United Ads

Does anyone have a tip on how to get rid of the United Visa ads on these pages - I'm now seeing 4 on each page! Enough is enough - a clear discouragement to coming here! Very Annoying!

If you sign up for FT Premium, there are no ads. I believe the fee is $12 per year, and it's worth it!

I can't believe I've been a member here over 5 years and had no idea about this. I guess I need to check out other parts of the site more often! Just purchased my 2 year subscription to InsideFlyer and I'm now ad-free.

If you want to rewind 10-15 years, you can always disable javascript and images. I did it for this post and FT is lightning fast and so much less cluttered. Otherwise, second the motion for FT Premium. Great way to support the information resource, IMO.

localhost

I've got a localhost file that kills 90%+ of web ads by redirecting them to 127.0.0.1.

Not just on flyertalk, but on all websites.

Don't know if it works on windows.

Interestingly I'm ad-free on FT, but there's lots of ads on InsideFlyer even when logged in.

Me too, maybe it's not working properly.

But if it's only $12/year, I may sign up (also didn't know about this option)

I think they need an ad, similar to the one on Wikepedia now, to do some old fashioned begging for money!

But seeing the ad repeatedly, as I am seeing now, allows me to see the glorious tulip a while longer before it goes away.

That's a PlusŪ

It's funny, my subscription just ran out last week, you immediately notice something has changed, it's pretty amazing how many ads are on each page here if you don't cough up the buck a month.

No ad problems here. I slurp up my FT kool-aid using Mozilla with ....... Plus and Cookiesafe plugins.

Problem fixed - I had to reload a "filter" for ....... Plus- don't know why!

Wonder how people put up with these ads!
