I don't know if what I'm doing is the best way, but what I did was:

1) ALT+PrintScreen to take the screen shot picture
2) Open Microsoft Paint & CTRL+V to paste the screen shot into a picture file.
3) Save as a JPEG
4) Upload to my Picasa website (picasaweb.google.com - create an account off a gmail account if you have one, or create a new one)
5) In Picasa, there's a place that you can click that says Embed Image - copy and paste the URL information, but edit it down to the part that starts with "http://lh4.ggph******.jpg" (your URL may be different - but this part is hidden inside the coding - where the **** is the rest of the URL.
6) Type

I'm sure there's a better way, but that's how I did it...I think pictures have to be hosted somewhere else - you can't just save a picture in a post (as far as I know, but I'm not a very tech-savvy person).

thanks for your help, bhatnasx....appreciated

Ok this should be finally fixed!

It is still putting the ads up but differently. The ads are still in the 3rd post on the thread, but rather than covering the copy, they compress the copy to the left of the window, so you can read all the copy, but still see the ad. They are not solid green anymore. They overlay the window, so you can see the window behind........similar to the ads at the top of the FT page (in blue and black type). I don´t imagine that FT is too happy (nor the legit sponsors) at having google pirate ads on the site while others are paying.....or is google paying for the space. I´d be curious to know;)

Can you send me screen shot to [email protected]?
I know that ads in 3rd posts are normal though for logged in users and you would have to get a paid subscription to get rid of it. However if it's not displaying correctly I need to see a screen shot as I see it in the ' wrapped way" which would be the normal way. Hope that makes sense! :-)

Thanks!

Now I see long narrow white ads on the right side of the screen covering the second and third post. No longer green/blue but the post cannot be read (it was better earlier today but no longer) And there are pictures with the google ads now as well.

i seem to be having issues.
Safari 5.0 Windows 7
There is a "tall" banner ad that is putting itself within a post. This is causing that one post to be very long. The top horizontal banner is also pushed all the way to the right.

I am actually seeing menu and thread pages freezing / failing to load because right-side ad content is loading in off-standard ways or not at all. This makes the site virtually inaccessible. It's like the ad content has run amok. The phenomenon is consistent in IE8, Safari 5.0 and Chrome 5.0.

I'm having similar problems with Walt Disney World ads. (Safari 5, Mac OS 10.6. Same thing seems to happen with Firefox 3.6, but I don't use it much for FT because its pull-down menus don't work as conveniently for me on this site.)

Thanks for letting us know.

Because I can't replicate this, can you send me a screen shot next time you see these ads that don't appear normal or if you have any other ad-related problems? You can email me directly at "[email protected]".

Thanks!
