Is Flyertalk Down AGAIN???

FT is timing out again or not properly loading the page - AGAIN!

What on God's green earth is wrong with the staff of Internet Brands?? Are they totally technically inept or just send out messages asking for DOS attacks to come their way?

After refreshing the page 50 times - and most of my threads are still not loading in a timely manner or at all without multiple refreshes.

I'm guessing all these delays are due to DOS attacks?

After Internet Brands staff decided to do nothing after the last round - probably.

They sell hardware appliances to deal with this sort of thing.

FWIW, during the time OP couldn't reach FT; I couldn't reach Newegg. Strange.

Not that it would make a difference, but I'm switching to Google's DNS servers.

Yes, it is clearly messed up again today, and yes, it is obviously well beyond the technical capabilities of the staff at IB.

I've had virtually constant loading issues for weeks now. Often takes multiple tries to load a page....

Yeah, join the club. 50% FT functionality for me if at all.... having to reload every post is NOW the norm for me . Its almost a "why bother"! It also makes me wonder how safe our log in data etc is, given how long its taken for these issues to be fixed by IB.

I would love to know why some of us are at 50% functionality ever since the first attack and why others can continue on posting, searching, PMing, and chatting etc like nothing ever happened?

Today, December 11, 2009, is the VERY FIRST time I have been able to access FlyerTalk since November 17, 2009, and it wasn't for a lack of trying.

All I have ever gotten in between these dates was a blank page (on Firefox) or a page explaining that the website is down (on Google Chrome).

Incidentally, I am accessing FlyerTalk for free on GoGo Inflight Internet on a Delta flight from CVG to SFO. Maybe you have to be 40K feet up in the air to access FlyerTalk!

By the way, GoGo is offering free internet through 12/31/09 if you use the promotion code DELTATRYGOGO. The regular price was $9.95.
