Check in times in LHR

Check in times in LHR
Hi!
In a few weeks i'm flying TP LHR-LIS. I'll be checking in a bag (unavoidable). I was hoping to arrive a few (3 or 4) hours early to check out the T2 lounges (it's been a long time i've i've been into any of the lounges, but the TP website says desks only open 2 hours before departure.
Does anyone know if the desks open strictly on the 2 hour mark, or if they open early (or if there's a desk open all day, it's a midday flight).

Cannot vouch for LHR but have just been through JFK and ORY on TAP, both of which quote 2 hour checkins and both were open at least 3 hours in advance. (JFK also now has TAP access to the Lufthansa lounge until schedule take-off 22:30 (used to close at 21:00))
