Online Petition: Request to the TalkBoard to rescind its recent action

Regarding the TalkBoard's recent action, I would respectfully request that the TalkBoard rescind its action and and am formally requesting that a TB member make such a motion.
While I understand that the FT Cares procedures specify that an FT/TB-approved charity can be reconsidered after a year, I would propose not a reconsideration per se but a rescission of its action.
I would invite others who would affirm this request to "sign" this thread. I'd invite general discussion of the TalkBoard's action to occur on the other thread, and will simply add any who post on this thread to the compilation, below. Please note: I am not necessarily reading each post, just noting usernames as they are added to the thread. So if you post in this thread, you are stipulating that you want to be added to the petition.
Please note that the compilation below includes the following persons who signed the petition in error or who wish to now disassociate from having signed: kokonutz, ozstamps, SkiAdcock, Punki. Please also note that moderator2 is writing as a moderator, and TalkBoard member bhatnasx's note indicates his having voted against the motion. None of these persons are included in the total compilation figure at the top of this post.

I haven't really paid much attention to TB, but I figured I'd see what was going on with this. I also disagree with supporting a religious charity unless we support a charity of other religions with this too. Maybe a quid-pro-quo, but add me to the list to reconsider this.

I originally voted no on this & stand by that decision. Whereas I don't believe, in general, that the TB should rescind any decision it makes this quickly, I'm going to post a link to this thread in the private TB thread for discussion.

"I did not sign the petition but want to explain why. Yes, I would hope that TB would overturn its decision but when I vote for a TB member I do so expecting him to use his own best judgment, even if his opinion is different than my own.
To my mind, a petition is a form of political pressure to get the TB to substitute the opinions of those who signed it for their own opinions."
