I remember how hard you guys were working on that and thought it was a noble effort. What ever became of that, chex?

I definitely think that how we treat new members can vary across the various forums. I think its always a great idea to examine how we are doing and look to implement best practices that make us better.

Speaking as a member, not a moderator, I think a "New to FT" forum could be useful. Many new members do not have a good handle on where to post and would, I think, appreciate a friendly welcome and a pointer as to what is the appropriate forum for their posts.
