Proposal : eShopping forum
Hello -
I did a search, but didn’t see anything similar proposed. I would like to see an eShopping Mall forum, similar to the iDine/Rewards Network forum, where FTers could trade Tips and Tricks (TM JDiver) on using the various online airline shopping services, and share information about the occasional bonuses that each airline program offers. Currently this information gets posted in the airline forum to which it relates, and it would be nice to have it aggregated in one place for use by people who are looking to top off an airline account.
Some of the uses I imagine are:

Some of the uses I imagine are:
- Discussing specific bonuses, such as the current Aadvantage eShopping Double miles for using a Mastercard at certain stores. Not only would a notification be good, a posting with the details of the promotion is handy once it is expired and the miles haven’t posted.
- Information on the various stores – do they post miles in a timely fashion? For instance, I’ve had trouble in the past with Barnes and Noble. As this related to miles, but not a specific airline, it would be nice to have a place to discuss it.
- Methods to maximize miles – if I need to buy a croquet set, it would be nice to have a place to ask which store/airline is giving the most miles for purchasing it.
- Bragging rights – let’s admit it: half the pleasure in a bargain is letting everyone know about it under the guise of offering helpful advice.

* If the offer is for miles with a hotel or airline loyalty program (or credit card program, etc) then the offer can be posted in that program's forum.
* It's also potentially permissable in SPAM
* If the offer is for points in a proprietary program without its own forum (think e-Rewards, for instance) then SPAM is the clear choice.
I'm not sure that an eShopping forum would be superior.
