Forums requested for JAT Airways

JAT Airways is a national carrier of Serbia (until recently Serbia and Montenegro, and Yugoslavia). Once a great airline, it carried 5 million passengers annually and served 80 destinations on five continents (19 domestic, 45 medium haul and 16 long haul routes). Crippled by war and sanctions in the 1990s, the airline is making a comeback.

A large Serbian aviation community exists on both the local forums as well as Airliners.net. I think that it would be appropriate to bring JAT to these forums as I believe there is interest.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Well, some forum requests start out slow, but finish strong. But let's not make a habit of turning ;jokes into forums.

Again, I have to emphasize that I am speaking for myself only, not for TalkBoard as a whole, but I am not familiar with JAT. My gut feeling is that Alitalia, Iberia, and Aer Lingus rate their own forums ahead of it. Having said that, I will vote for it if 25 members are willing to state two things:

1. They are members of JAT'S Frequent Flyer program.
2. They will be regular contributors to the forum.

(I have explained my reasoning for the 25 member minimum several times in the past and will not bore you all with a repeat here.)

Nah.

However, I'm willing to listen if a need can be demonstrated...
