***Vote for jfe***
As a moderator of OMNI, I have been telling all candidates to post their candidacy in this forum.
So I thought I should follow my own advice.
I am a real no-nonsense kind of guy, but with a great sense of humor (although I am not sure that my comedy is understood sometimes)
The first thing that I would do if elected, is to see what it is that really happens there.
Learn the motions, and collaborate with the other members.
Same process as when I started my job of moderating OMNI. Slow at first learn, ask for advice and then work with other moderators.
And for those that have sent me kind notes appreciating my work there, thanks.
I honestly believe that this board is the best online community anywhere. I have been offered advice and help from complete strangers. It is an extraordinary place, in which bright minds get together to exchange ideas.
That is how I feel, and I would appreciate your vote.
Thanks

You should have posted this in OMNI, then closed the thread. Now that would have attracted attention.

I know how you are all addicted to closed threads
Besides, what kind of example would I be giving.

Close a few hundred pointlessly bumped threads on OMNI and we'll talk.

Well, I thought I would give this thread another bump.
I am sorry to see other candidates drop out of the race.
Doesn't mean that I will win, but gotta give it my best shot anyway
