Was there an announcement of what happened to the Community moderator? Did the moderator quit or were they cancelled in some form?

Will there be a replacement or is this part of a moderator reduction campaign?

I was wondering what happen too. The Moderators name is missing in the "Moderated by" section. Let's not jump to conclusions and wait to see what we hear.

There will be times when all moderators are rotated around as well as when they are on vacation, etc. When these evetns happen, it makes sense to take them down so members posting at that time will know who to direct any problems or concerns to. Let's say Moderator2 goes on vacation for two weeks. I'd hope that we would not insist he can't go and has to lug along his laptop to answer things. By posting names of moderators only on active duty, it is hoped that members will be better served. In this instance, let's say that member A emailed craig with a problem the day he left for vacation. not hearing anything from him for over two weeks would mean this person might think he wasn't helpful, etc. Merely a proceedure to help moderators also have regular lives. As for the moderator of Community, I think she took some time off, which is something i wish i could do.

Hope this answer helps. Was there a particular problem that needs attention? Direct email is the best resolve for that.

I am sure it's something the Talkboard is working on, but can anyone clarify when new moderators will be appointed? As the summer vacation is just a few months away I am sure that anyone who has to learn the tricks of moderation will certainly need a period to get used to it.

And why is that former moderator allowed to continue her tired rant against doc in violation of the TOS?

Locked, yes, but that doesn't answer the question. I suppose in the big scheme of things it is trivial, but I am still curious as to the reasoning (for why she continues to do it and for why it is allowed).

Don't worry about Doc too much. He has been around for a long time and I am sure he takes what is said about him with a grain of salt.

However, I wish people would keep their strong views of one another to themselves. It just seems to upset too many people.

What I don't understand is how can anyone make someone so mad even though they don't really even know them? The only people that make me mad is sometimes my boyfriend and sometimes my son. I could care less about anyone else.

About the moderators...If someone posts something that one feels is inappropriate then DON'T post anything to continue the thread. EVEN your disapproval. It just makes more and more people mad.

Just a suggestion.

I moderate myself now and shut up.
