I was sent here by (what I perceive as) an overzelous moderator. I would habe hoped that someone would have at least had the courtesy to respond. Even telling me to go to Hell would have been a response.

This proves what we have been discissing on the Delta Board...We dont need no blanklen moderators!

I am not too familiar with your current situation apart from reading the thread that you posted a link to but as a matter of principal I am opposed to moderators (nothing personal) and always have been.

Once upon a time I used to have major clashes as far as moderation goes with another moderator but since the majority accepted moderating then I just decided to go with the flow instead of fighting a minority uphill battle.

The idea of posting under "appropriate" forums is commendable but since very few people read them there then it is just the same as sending someone to the desert to voice their opinion to the sandhills.

I was just as disappointed as you were, that no one gave you the courtesy of a response. I have made it known numerous times that a written set of moderation guidelines is important. However, the Talk Board seems to have imploded. Randy Petersen has recently commented he is about to appoint some additional people to fill out the Board. I'm hoping this will occur quickly, so both of us can have some peace on the subject.

I think there has been a misconception over the replacements. Currently the elected board represents all FlyerTalkers. My choice to replace those that resigned in my mind is not required since the elected members are the majority. I haven't answered your question. Since it seems there can be no resolve until this issue is answered, I guess I'll give in and remove myself from being the apparent roadblock. I resent the movement to make this an issue, but will take the high road. I'll name three replacements next week. My resistance to do so is because i don't know other members as well as those i appointed and it turns out i didn't know them well enough. I don't like getting embarrassed or playing politics since i think FlyerTalk is better than that. If these other members don't perform to your satisfaction - blame me again, I'm an easy target.
