I will keep my eye open for the results as I too think LAN needs a forum and like to say thanks for the effort to get it here.^

Re: Signal to noise ratio. Let's say I have a specific LAN question. I do a "search forum" of the Other South American forum, and the question doesn't appear to be in the first page or two of answers. I also go through the first 3-4 pages of ALL posts in OSA forum. No joy. Now, I'm not especially lazy, and that seems a pretty good attempt at finding the answer.

However, the previous relevant thread is buried deeper back than that, because it has been pushed aside by other SA discussion. The "signal" (relevant thread) is buried in the "noise" of the other SA discussions.

Yes.

A LAN forum would be most welcome.

I think a LAN forum is quite necessary. They're the big kahuna in South America, especially for those of us who want to tour the continent and need to find flights, routes, and information regarding travel there.

Right now, I have to search for posts in BA EC, AA, OW, and South America forums. (don't like to start new threads if not necessary). Having a centralized place to discuss issues and questions about LAN would be a good thing for FT.

LAN should have a forum

For all the reasons others have already stated. When a minor entity like SK can have a forum, LAN should have one.

How about for the TalkBoard members who voted in support of this?

I shamelessly accept bribes.

I fully back the idea of a LAN forum creation - don't see why it shouldn't.

Having travelled on LAN a few times and posted and answered questions about LAN (well tried to anyway) I fully support the creation of a LAN forum

Although it's been several years since I've flown LAN, I'm generally in favor of any major world airline having its own forum.

Just adding support - have often needed to research LAN over the past 7 years. Could never understand why it did not have its own forum?

Yes Please!

Hi, I travel 250.000 Kms on LAN every year, and could say that after doing this for more than 5 years I know quite a lot of their operation, tricks, strange rules and how to make their customer service work towards you. I have posted some times on the OSA forum, but I feel it would be much more encouraging to participate if there was a dedicated space for us, LAN fliers.... I would happily help within my possibilities if the proper space for us is established

I take the opportunity to thank JohnnyColombia for taking this issue again, and EastBay1K for the continuous support and sharing on LAN related topics.... always getting the answers before i do!

Good luck guys!
