LH vs LX Business Class ORD- DEL

I am flying ORD-DEL in C. Contemplating LH vs LX.

LX pros- shorter connection time at ZRH

And since I still have not learned how to make LH C class seats "lie flat" perhaps LX would be better.

LX A330
LH 747

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

LX A330 has a very old seat in C which won't make you happy, i.e. neither lie flat nor angled lie flat. Therefore you better go for LH 747.

LX C is only nice on the A340.

Agree. Comfort-wise LH is much better than LX in this case.

Go LH.

vielen dank! Any tips on how to make the LH seat lie flat? (I have see the thread on mnm forum but have not been able to get any one to share the pics for the art of making them go flat.)

Caution ORD-ZRH seems to change from A340 to A330. So I would take LH and be guaranteed a lie-flat seat.

Any updated thoughts/recommendations on the OP's question? I'm flying to DEL in November and am debating between LH and LX (C class).

Thank you in advance for your help!

LX is Lie flat in C these days, LH isn't...

What would your routing be, ex-IAH or also ex-ORD? I would suggest that ZRH/MUC are easier to negotiate on Transfers than FRA, but without knowing the exact routing (and therefore transfer times), it's not so easy to advise you.

Sorry, I should've mentioned this in my earlier post. I'm flying IAH-AMS on CO (it's the only routing I could find with C class award seats for my travel date), so my options are either AMS-FRA-DEL on LH or AMS-ZRH-DEL on LX.

So CO58 arriving AMS 8:05am?

There's an option of going via Vienna on Austrian, too (leaves AMS 9:50). I don't know how their C Class is, though.
Going via FRA would get you a 744, via ZRH a 333 (VIE would be a 763).

Personally, I'd be tempted to go LX, OS then LH (not a fan of FRA). LX is a lie flat seat, OS and LH are angled at 160 degrees.

LX with their new full flat C and the smooth connection in ZRH, no question! ^

If you look at this (LX) and at this (LH), it should be easy to make a decision.

IMO, anyone who would choose LH over LX in this situation is

LX now flies one of best business class seats in the sky on most of thier fleet.

matt in france / goliath / wanaflyforless - Thank you for the feedback, I'm now booked from AMS-ZRH-DEL on LX. I'll be sure to provide a trip report.
