Neither Aeroplan (AC) nor Mileage Plus (UA) credit miles for some of the lowest booking classes on Lufthansa:

Mileage Plus excludes L and T fares within Europe

Aeroplan excludes T, L, E, U

Hello,

just a question from my side:

Are there minimum-miles on Mileage Plus with Lufthansa-flights? According to the above-mentioned website there aren't, but there are rumours on another forum that M+ members got 500miles per intra-European segment with LH.
500 minimum-miles per segment should also apply with LX.

I always thought that M&M has the most complicate rules, but M+ beats them by far...

United?
Yes, Aeroplan of Air Canada; the big bonus is the quite low requirements for *Gold. On the other hand, C or F does not get much cabin bonus...

No, I did not mean United. DC stands for DiamondsClub of BMI (British Midland Airways).

Does anyone have an idea when the M&M status of a TravelClub Gold member that is only M&M Blue member will be set to "Senator"

- Is it only per Apr. 1
- Or will it possibly happen before (e.g. because they have to mail out cards before that date)

Cheers,

Pocoloco

No, your M&M status should be "upgraded" to SEN during the night of 31st March to 1st April. AFAIK, it won't happen before as legally spoken STC is the FFP till that date. The printing of the cards is independent of this; that's why you had to register yourself till the end of last year.

But to be honest, this issue is not "carved out of stone". Things can change quickly...

Status Miles for the rest of 2006...

I had posted a question earlier but didn't receive any responses so I thought I would try again...since existing TravelClub Gold members get M&M SEN status for both 2006 AND 2007 (privileges effective through Feb 2008), is there any point in accumulating status miles on LX in M&M for the rest of 2006? (Other than trying to reach the next level, i.e., HON SEN which is out of my reach anyway..). Correct me if I'm wrong but the M&M status miles earned in 2006 qualifies one for 2007 FT or SEN status (which we would already have) so what's the point of those 2006 status miles?

Thanks in advance for any answers...

You could qualify to a higher level, or failing that extend your status another 2 years.

Ie your STC Gold status converted to M&M SEN with expiry Feb 2008.

In 2006 calendar year (or after 1 April depending on where credit status miles 1 January to 31 March) requalify for SEN - this extends expiry to Feb 2010 ^

Similarly requalifying in 2007 calendar year extends expiry also to Feb 2010.

Sure on current rules. Who knows what the future may bring?
