No more champagne in J s/m-haul?
According to some trip reports I came across online, SWISS has replaced champagne with cheap sparkling wine on short/medium-haul flights in J. Can anyone confirm? The race to the very bottom of the Lufthansa Group continues?

Interesting, well my first Air Baltic as a wetlease for LX coming up, lets see how they perform compared to LX & clearly Air Baltic FA’s should know the difference between Champagne & Sparkling Wine

LX management insists that it is only temporary due to short in supply. You choose yourself if you belief them. I personally believe they will come up with a story of local supply, sustainability and of course very positive customer feedback on the new product that they eliminate champagne permanently.

Trading standards offence in the UK to advertise something you knowingly do not supply

I had a glass of Swiss's sparkling wine a couple of weeks ago and it was actually the worst I've ever tasted. And I've been drinking BA champagne for 20 years. I had to give it back and wash my mouth out with a glass of white wine - which I don't even like.
We can debate the intellectual role of positioning of champagne vs. a sparkling wine, but they should only use the current stuff for cleaning the toilets.
