777-300 vs. A330-300

My first time flying Swiss. I have an option to fly either of the above mentioned planes. Suggestions on which to choose?
Thanks

Route and Class would be important inputs to get proper advice.

in Y: A330 every day. Miss me with this 10 abreast horror.(A330 has no usb or electricity though)
In J: B77W, much newer and nicer product. Try to get a throne seat in the small forward cabin, preferably 4A.
In F: Not a great difference, but B77W is newer and offers more space. Hence B77W takes the lead there.

Just beware that OP is a first time LX flyer and his/her profile shows no *A status, so will not have access to the “throne” seats in C, unless still available at OLCI.

Also, there are more solo seats in the A333 that are available for non-elite pax to reserve.

That said, the B77W C seat has more storage and privacy than the A333 C seat, but the B77W seat has a hard piece at the bottom of the back cushion that I felt when the seat was full flat, Not sure if this was a one-off or an issue with all B77W C seats as I have only a very small sample of C flights in this plane, having benefited from quite a few op ups....

This has not been true for quite some while.

You’re right, I should have said “free access” indeed.

I concur and would go for the b777 in J without any doubt: more privacy (whether in throne seats or regular seats), larger touch IFE screens, up-to-date look (versus outdated look in the a330). This being said, the 777 is not less noisy than the 330. And LX does not supply ANR headsets. I would advise to bring your own.

The mini cabin is a good choice for red eye flights. For daytime flights, I personnally prefer the volume of a larger cabin.

777 in F offers more privacy and better screens than A330 in F.

Except for Y, where 10-abreast on the 777 is simply torture, I would just go for the flight with the most convenient schedule, as the J and F products are not so different that the difference would make me go out of my way to get one and/or avoid the other.

having flown both in J and Y, Id take the A330 anyday over the 777 in both cabins, especially in Y where the 777 is 3-4-3

I‘d take the A333 as the 77W is a noisy sucker...

How does the soft product compare ex-ZRH? I am similarly debating a330 versus 777 as I can do ZRH->ORD->YYZ (777) or ZRH-YUL-YTZ (a330).
