The A330 cabin will also be reaching 10 years in some of the planes in 2019 and since the A330 will remain in the fleet by at least 2025 approx it would be nice to see SWISS refurbish the cabins in those planes as well given that they also begin showing their age

I can live without it so I don't care that much. Anyways at the price they are charging on Swiss it seems ridiculously expensive.
Same here. Have to agree that the Internet service on LX has always been disappointing.

I very much doubt they will refurbish the F cabin on the A330 any time soon, let alone major changes, as they will finally have a more or less homogeneous product once the A340s have been completed.

Yeah, they wouldn't refurbish them for just 6-7 years of service. Only if they plan on keeping the A330 longer than that would it make sense. Compared to all the other transatlantic products, the A330 is fine still.

Has so far actually always worked fine for me, but then again I only check/send some e-mails and WhatsApp. Given the pricing and limited MB I only use the vouchers anyway (they are happy to give you more once you have used up the initial one, btw).

Booked mid Dec on LX to JNB in F and it looks to me that it's still the unrefurbished A340-300. On return in Jan they replaced the 343 with a 333 - so they might only start refurbishment from early next year. Anyway, old F seats on LX's 343 are very comfortable and service is just as good as on their B777 first class. Anything is better than BA first to South Africa ....

This isn’t always the case. I had a very robotic MdC from SIN to ZRH last week who was very unapologetically “NO, ONLY ONE PER PERSON” and kept walking... 🙄

Wow, very poor for a HON in F !

My experience to date, no problem asking for another & have even been given 2 to start with a few times.

Fortunately I have not crossed paths with that MdC & hope it stays that way

Her only other interaction with me was when she handed out a survey card and asked me to fill it in online. Sure, no problem, I definitely will 🤣

According to this blog entry the A340 refurbishment has been delayed again until Q4/2018 at the earliest.

Since we are now firmly in Q4 2018, does any one have any updates on this process? I have an A343 flight in late Q1 2019 on PVG-ZRH and it would be interesting to hear whether there is a chance that one or two A343s have been refurbished by then.

I wouldn't count on it.

A little bit late and OT, but on my flight to DXB we were handed the vouchers and the guy behind me pulls out about a pile of 50 of them and puts the new on top of his little pile and then puts them back into his Backpack.
