According to the info I got (also from management) it will be an update of the actual C class.

I heard this too. One would hope LX would not make the same mistakes LH did with the A380.

LX purser told me the 777 would no longer have individual seats in C as is (at least partially) the case on the 340. Is that possible?

Yes, an update of the current version, but still the same seats. I was hoping for a completely new product, as these 777s will be around for quite some time.

Less individual seats as the larger cabin would allow 2-2-1, 1-2-2, 2-2-1 and so on.

Exactly, pretty much the same as the OS setup in the 777:

Does this serve as confirmation that coach will also follow OS' "role model"?

The SWISS page is eerily silent regarding the subject if the LX is joining the 777 ultra-cheapo coach club.

LX announced that it will convert 10 of its 30 CS100 orders to the larger CS300 model.

Deliveries:
2016: 10 CS100
2017: 10 CS300
2018: 10 CS100/300 (TBD)

Most probably the A319 will be phased out as well as the CS300 arrives.

Rather (pleasantly) surprised they didn't go for a 133 seat CS100 and 160 seat CS300, unlike the recent A320 family reconfiguration.

LX have changed their CS order:

15 CS100 and 15 CS300 instead of 20 CS100 / 10 CS300

They may even change to 10 CS100 and 20 CS300.
