I'm disappointed. They go from a really outstanding, unique and smart design to something blah. It has neither the cleverness of the previous logo and claim nor the elegance of the original SR logo they seem to want to emulate.
A waste of money.

Trying to replicate the ZRH network in GVA and BSL is suicide.
Anyway according to this ~50% of the Swiss population lives within 1h drive from ZRH.
And the business factor to it.
Anyway,
GVA as gets LX flights to:
ATH;BCN;MAD;LHR;LCY;DME;PRG;BUD;JFK and ZRH in frequent supply to connect to longhaul and other destinations.
In addition it benefits from the Star Alliance partners for additional coverage, for which you can buy an LX ticket.
LH;SN;OS;LO;TP;TK;SK;MS;UA;AC.
Also BSL gets BRU;BCN;CPH;HAM;FCO;VCE;LCY;PRG + plus Star alliance partners.
With the exception of Germany I cannot recall any other European country where the second and third cities get such a good international coverage by the national airline.

I have reread the press release 3 times now and apart from the excellent news on the extra lavatory in F, I cannot find anything to justify the gathering of both the top management level nor the associated press. I would be pretty upset as a journalist to cover this non-event.

What a brilliant new logo. I have now finally realized that Swiss is the national airline of Switzerland. I can't believe that I hadn't realized it earlier. Neither the old logo nor the name have any resemblance of Switzerland, indeed seeing both on a plane certainly left me confused as to whether or not it was 'the airline of Switzerland'. This is a great improvement. I just wonder why it took them so long.

...now I know why they cut costs and save money wherever they can - especially when it comes to their employees.
What a bloody waste of money

It would be smarter to upgrade the Airbus A340 fleet with the new First and Economy Class and on top replace the consistently crashing IFE system found on the A340's. For a "premium" airline with a long haul fleet of 25 aircraft you should at least be able to expect to have a consistent product throughout the whole fleet
