Personal Service

Just a thought!!

I came across FT a little while back while searching for info on maximising my BAEC points and amex ba pp etc... The amounts of info i came across were immense lol the options almost endless no question this is the best site for anyone wanting info on how when and where’s etc! And not to mention the members are all so friendly and very helpful!

The only problem for me (and I am sure there are more), I don’t understand many of the terms used here and don’t always have the time or patience to work it all out... When trying for example to get the best from a 241 the amount of time trying to find the best deal for the right dates or working out miles for upgrade best credit card etc etc etc... Also reading experiences others had but hardly making out 50% of what they talking about because everything is coded in typical ft slang I would be happy to pay a fee for personal help in finding what I am looking for on flights availability and other info which would be only relevant to me the kind of info that I would not necessarily find on ft or even if its there somewhere ( which it probably is) I cant really make out and could be very time consuming...

I think if FT had a special section for paying members with a few dedicated ppl for this kind of thing you would find that u have many buyers I guess this might also help with covering running costs etc?

Thanks for such a fantastic Forum!

Randy Petersen - the benevolent dictator - used to have such a service...

http://www.awardplanner.com/

However, that service no longer is accepting new members.

Believe it or not, people are very happy to help if you are willing to do some homework yourself....

Otherwise, you might want to consider trying to find a great travel agent that you can pay a fee to when you need services.

There was an article a few months ago that LaDonna Epler was providing award planning service on her own now.

To cut through the slang, you might want to refer to the FlyerTalk Glossary as you read the various threads on FT.

And some forums, such as Delta, even have their own glossaries with terms unique to that forum.

I realize this is not as simple as hiring somebody to do your planning but at least it'll help you get by until such a planning service can be found.

Good luck.
