Merging threads suggestion
Hi all,
First, I want to praise all the moderators because I know it is a tough job. I am a mod. on a diff. BBS so I know the pros & cons.
My suggestion is that mods. be very careful before they merge "similar" threads. What can happen is that you might kill future responses completely because the different streams of conversation are now all mixed together. Here is an example: http://flyertalk.com/forums/showthre...=509900&page=5 I'm not picking on Bruce and I sure wouldn't criticize a mod. but this thread died the same day the three diff. threads were merged. Now, maybe these threads would have died anyway-who knows.
Again, kudos to ALL mods. It's quite often a thankless job.
