cross-posting

there is an interest discussion on the UA forum right now that I wanted to post a link to on the UA forum to say "see how those on the other side of the fence views UA." but I've seen such cross posting mentioned as against TOS. I am curious why this would be. it would seem to make sense to encourage conversations across forums.

I'm not sure I understand what you mean exactly, but the guideline that pertains to cross posting is meant to discourage duplicate posts with the same content in more than one forum.

It sounds like you are saying there is a thread in a forum other than the UA forum where members are talking about their experiences on UA, and you would like to make the UA forum participants aware of this thread. Generally speaking, I don't think any of the moderators would discourage that.
