Although I have suggested this before, I'll try again. I think it would be very helpful to have the thread titles in the forum listings carry the date of the original posting. For example:

I made the same suggestion to V-Flyer (now Britflyer) some time ago and this practice was immediately adopted. It has proved quite useful.

I so agree, I hate it when I click on a thread to find someone has bumped a 3 year old thread.
I had made this request a few years ago and was told it was not available due to the BBS software FT was using.
I wonder if this could be added with the new software?

I made the same request and got the same reason as WHarvey got. Yup, I agree, it really would help.

Totally agree. ^ Several times I've been typing out a reply post only to realize that the thread is old and makes the response I was typing irrelevant. Of course, one could argue that one can respond to the latest posts, but if your post was to respond to the first one, a bummer. . . . (Of course, I guess one could also argue that after a few times, one might remember to check the original post date before typing away, but anyhow. . . .

I too would very much like the option to switch off the new format. It is definitely headache-inducing for some of us.
