Date of Original Posting

Although I have suggested this before, I'll try again. I think it would be very helpful to have the thread titles in the forum listings carry the date of the original posting. For example:

2 free glasses & stirsticks from Maker's Mark
(Multi-page thread 1 2 3 4 5 ... Last Page)
OP: SPort Sep 14, 05, 5:45 pm

Anyone reading this would immediately know that this is not a current offer.

I made the same suggestion to V-Flyer (now Britflyer) some time ago and this practice was immediately adopted. It has proved quite useful.

I second this suggestions. It would make quick work of going through "new" posts.

I so agree, I hate it when I click on a thread to find someone has bumped a 3 year old thread.

I had made this request a few years ago and was told it was not available due to the BBS software FT was using.

I wonder if this could be added with the new software?

TIM? MIKEL?

PLEASE!!!!!!!!!

I made the same request and got the same reason as WHarvey got. Yup, I agree, it really would help.

It would be a form of date stamping.

Think it would be a great idea.

Totally agree. ^ Several times I've been typing out a reply post only to realize that the thread is old and makes the response I was typing irrelevant. Of course, one could argue that one can respond to the latest posts, but if your post was to respond to the first one, a bummer. . . . (Of course, I guess one could also argue that after a few times, one might remember to check the original post date before typing away, but anyhow. . . . )

Tim,

I have posted my reaction elsewhere but can I ask here if it possible to tweak the format to improve clarity eg.

Prospero on today at 10:36pm

Actually, I'd prefer the ability to switch it off altogether. Would this possible via MyFlyerTalk > Edit Options ?

I too would very much like the option to switch off the new format. It is definitely headache-inducing for some of us.

Tim,

What a great improvement... will take some getting used to.

But it is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

William

I was going to suggest this same color change as well.
