I am going to be spending two days at an Embassy Suites hotel in December and, not being an HHonors member, signed up for the program when I made my reservations.

Today, while looking through the HHonors program, I discovered that had I given the name and membership number of an HHonors member as having referred me, he would have been given 1000 points for my stay (and all others before the end of the year).

I know that these offers come and go, both with hotels and airlines, so I would like to suggest that a sticky be put up somewhere, perhaps on Travel Buzz, where all current offers are listed.

That will enable any of us who is signing up for a program which has such an offer to be certain that another F/Ter can get the bonus miles/points.
