Talking Foreign Language Threads

Hey there. I realise that FT doesnt have a foreign language section...

is it possible to add a few? I realise you cant add every single language... just the major ones - French, Spanish, German, Dutch and some others?

You may be interested to know that the TalkBoard considered (and rejected) this idea last year, as reported here:
http://www.flyertalk.com/townhall/sc...&id=1067901285

As recorded in this post
09/16/03 Gaucho100K made a motion that Flyertalk venture into becoming multi-lingual by creating a single new forum dedicated to non-English language postings related to miles and points. It was seconded by wharvey on 09/16/03. Official discussion ensued through 10/07/03.
10/07/03 Voting began on the language issue raised by Gaucho100K. It ran until 10/14/03 with cigarman, Starwood Lurker, gleff, hfly, Tolarian Wind, and missydarlin voting No. Gaucho100K, wharvey, and Spiff voted Yes. Motion failed.
You could certainly re-raise the subject in the TalkBoard Topics forum.

The OP might be interested to know that we do have a number of postings in non-English languages in specific forums, e.g., the Lufthansa forum frequently has postings wholly or partially in German.

what about KLM?

I know Dutch and English... so thats why I ask. Also i think that non-english forums can help other people learn a language

There's some Dutch used in the KLM forum postings from time to time.

In fact, "niet mogelijk" seems to get a lot of use.
