Add the Date a Thread was Started Please?
Maybe next to the thread starter's name or something? The last post date is nice, but it'd be very helpful to know when a thread was originally posted. Often I'll be browsing a forum and click on a post - titled "New United Promotion Today" or something like that - only to find the the information is outdated and useless but was bumped because someone decided to continue a personal discussion, etc. Being able to see the date the thread was orginally posted would be great. Love to see it if it can be done!

What a wonderful suggestion....
With all the FT posts now in one place... there seems to be much more "bumping" of two and three year old threads....
This feature would allow us to skip those if we want.
Thanks
William

Has merit. Does this new BB software support that feature?

It still sounds like a good idea - years on.
Just one example. Some of the bumping of several year old "Happy Birthday' threads etc in Community for instance can get pretty silly, and clog the Forum when there are 2 or 3 separate threads involved.
If the ones from 1999 or 2001 or whatever were immediately evident, it would save folks needing to click on the older ones etc.

If wharvey still thinks the idea has merit, (and if current software supports the concept) we could raise if for discussion by TalkBoard if any other members indicate on this thread there is support for the idea.

This topic keeps coming up, and there are several other threads on it. A lot of us would like to see the start date, but IIRC it's a software problem.
