preferences and searches
good day,
is there any way that you can relocate a "preferences" button on the main url www.flyertalk.com that will set preferences for all forums?
i cannot figure out what is going on with my pc, but i have set the preferences to 10 days for travelbuzz and for milesbuzz on numerous occasions. nevertheless, when i go back to the forums in a few days, the preferences are set at 5 days. so, i go through a 4 or 5 minute routine to reset the preferences to 10 days (for however long it will last this time). if you could locate a preferences setting button on the main url i would smile more often.
second, searches. currently when searching for an item it is set up as "last x days" (5, 10, 20, 30, 45, 90 etc etc). right now, i want to search for something that was posted prior to the last presidential election. the only way to do it is to search through an enormous amount of data that i know are irrelevant. can you change the search program so that it goes something like:
start date .....
stop date .....
this would help quite a bit i would suspect.
just my unsolicited $0.02 worth
thanks
