spanning TravelBuzz! over FlyerTalk Miles?
How about spanning TravelBuzz! over the FlyerTalk Miles and FlyerTalk Travel areas, the way OMNI is set up?
I know this doesn't quite fit in the logical framework of the site, but FlyerTalk Travel just does not seem to attract many of the regulars and experienced travellers from FlyerTalk Miles.
Some FT regulars gripe at the perceived lack of quality in TravelBuzz, but due to their 'boycott', people have resorted to posting their travel-related threads in MilesBuzz instead, to get the needed exposure and number of responses (7.8 per thread in TravelBuzz, 16+ in MilesBuzz), not to mention the overall speed and usefulness of those responses.
This would IMO be an easy way to channel some of the posts back to their intended forum (by increasing TravelBuzz' exposure), without the policing that is bound to raise protests and increase the moderators' workload.
Just submitting this idea after seeing how fast some very active threads died after being shifted from FlyerTalk Miles to FlyerTalk Travel...

I agree with you 100%. I've seen some very interesting topics in TravelBuzz of late that would generate a lot more traffic if people actually knew about them. Of course, the same can be said for much of FT Travel (even this thread, I suspect). Increasingly, navigating up and back down into FT Travel only to find a ghost town doesn't seem to be worth the effort. I miss General Travel Talk
