Dedicated Forum for iDine

iDine now has over 10,000 participating restaurants, as well as hotels in 24 major markets. Miles can be earned in 8 different FF programs. iDine frequently runs bonus mile promotions, the terms of which vary from one airline to another.

Presently, iDine threads are scattered among MilesBuzz, S.P.A.M. and the 8 airline forums. Please consider a dedicated iDine forum (perhaps under "Other Travel Related Programs"). This would centralize the discussion and allow FTers to monitor the many different iDine promotions without having to search 10 separate forums. From my own experience, I often use iDine to top off FF accounts for airlines that I don't regularly fly (and therefore don't frequent that airline's FT forum).

The mileage-earning opportunities from iDine (as well as the posts on the subject) far exceed, for example, those to be earned from car rental programs. Opportunities (and discussion thereof) will only continue to grow as iDine expands its hotel program (and as the major hotel chains reduce elite benfits).

I heartily agree! Idine is such a rich program, especially when combined with the airline specific promos they run. It would be very nice for us to have a consolidated discussion!

PointsScrounger: I beat you here.

I agree 100%. The status quo makes it nearly impossible to follow iDine, short of following every airline forum, and SPAM, MilesBuzz, etc.

You may wish to consider adding www.opentable.com to this forum. Perhaps call it a restaurant incentative board? BTW, often times you will discover that an Open Table restaurant is also an Idine member also.

I'll second this. I only found about the 2000 mile AA Idine bonus by accident as I never read the AA board. Made sure to get 8 dines in the period tho!

Please, please, please... This would be a great help to those of us that have multiple IDine accounts.

I'll throw my hat in the ring and say that I too would like an idine forum created.

Count me in! Much easier being centralized - if someone posts elsewhere those moderators have central location for closure/transfer.

I agree that a separate idine forum would be helpful. Their many promotions are presently hard to keep track of.

I have to agree completely. Idine seems to be rich enough and generate enough discussion in other forums to warrant a separate space!

Please consider this. IDINE is getting more and more into the ff programs: see new United promo where you become IDINE Preferred with 25% bonus.
