excessive user name length

excessive user name length
A week ago a new user registered an user name consisting of a compound word 25 letters in length, without any spaces. Such a name does not wrap around as a long name with space(s) would.
Nothing personal against this user, but viewed on an SVGA display, threads in which this user participates have over the entire left half of the screen displaying useless usernames and blank space. Even on an XGA display, it is rather annoying.
Would it be possible to introduce a limitation in the length of usernames, or at least single words within user names, to address this issue? Or perhaps force a wraparound?

Good suggestion. I noticed this recently, as well, and it certainly is inconvenient. There was a similarly lengthy handle in use a while back, but I have not seen it in use recently.

I have noticed another one recently - smoothtakeoffbumpylanding. Again, nothing personal, just a bit of an annoyance/inconvenience. Perhaps there could be a permanent "fix" for this issue by limiting the length of the user name when registering?
