Booking Class Display for Flights
With aeroplan.de 's galileo interface out of service, Flyertalk should consider working out something with one of the CRS providers on providing a simple interface which allows its members to view the booking classes (inventory) available on various flights/routes.
Flyertalk can consider having a "premium" membership area where those who pay a reasonable fee (eg. USD 10/month) can access tools such as an "availability checker" (and maybe other goodies such as "fare listings" as well) etc. This can help cover the fees charged by the CRS provider.
Ideally this interface should be command prompt based (I miss easySabre).
[With functions such as booking, ticketing etc. disabled by having a "robot" filtering any illegal commands before the query is sent to the CRS]
For example, to check for availability one would type something like:
A12JANJFKLHR7P-H|AA
or to check for "fare listings/rules"
FDJFKLHR12JAN-AA/USD
RD2-AA (to display fare rules etc.)
