This is a form of trolling.
Calling attention to what someone feels is trolling behavior is not the same as calling someone a troll.

Perhaps, you might take some time to review the TOS yourself

I am increasingly finding your post(s), while admittedly somewhat amusing, to also be a bit embarrassing to FT! And rather shameful as well, to be frank!
Surely by your definition then referring to another FT's postings as shameful and embarrassing is an FT violation?

Wow! Super post! Caught me with the goods again, you did! There is clearly no foolin' you!

You figured me out so very easily! Surely you must be a genius? Or is it so very obvious to all?
Am I to understand that this was meant to be respectful and tolerant of the posters views?

Also from the TOS ...Any member whose behavior causes disruption in the forums, either because of the tone and language of their posts or their attitude toward other members, may lose their posting privileges

If nothing else, surely you recognize that your style of post bombardment is at the very least disruptive.

And finally...if you truly feel that the TOS has been violated..perhaps you may want contact Randy and Co yourself.

Do not retaliate or respond in any way to a personal attack that you perceive to be directed at yourself or another FlyerTalk member. All to often, when an initial attack is levied, others join the fray and instead of becoming part of the solution, they become part of the problem.

If you feel that you have been the recipient of a personal attack, contact a TalkAssist volunteer immediately.

tazi, you're right. And in fact I do usually just ignore them.

Just in a feisty mood last night...

This WAS a much nicer forum so long as we weren't getting the latest breathless somehow-connected-to-airlines news release, but I can deal with it either way... since this had become a topic, I believed my opinion might be relevant.

Yes, your opinion is equally as relevant as everyone elses' opinion is, no? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

FWIW, I may well have thought it was MUCH nicer forum when you are away too! So what?

Actually, FWIW, I personally do not
see all that much difference when I post, or when I do not! Same stuff - just posted a bit later! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Missy, you're joking right! PLEASE! Thanks very much for your assistance! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Imagine the nerve of me - to actually post so much info to this BB! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

No, just in case I was ever unclear, I do not see my posts as even remotely "disruptive," by any means, nor do most FT'ersand lurkers, from what I can tell, including the benefactor/owner of the FT boards! My intent is now, and has always been extremely clear, i.e. to inform. The tone is also quite clear as well, i.e. to be as respectful as humanly possible - and to not violate the rules that we have all agreed to abide by! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

And if you actually think that I "retaliated," then truly you do not know me at all - which, of course, you do not! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

And yes, again to be clear, I was respectful, IMHO, and most certainly so, on a relative or comparative basis!

You don't think so?

You think Lex dod not violate the TOS?

Hey, I certainly respect your opinion, even IF it is is extremely misguided, IMHO.

Why not try putting yourself in my position!

And initially, if you'll recall, or simply just REread now the above, I'd asked only that Lex kindly review the TOS please!

And also, remember please just exactly why we are having this discussion - I was flamed yet AGAIN, sadly! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Can't we all just get along!??!?!?!?!? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/frown.gif

Always the victim, aren't you doc. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif Do you ever stop to think why people get irritated by your incessant posting? No one (not even aveck00) gets up the noses of otherwise pleasant FT'ers as much you do.

Do you suffer from some sort of attention seeking disorder or are you just a sadcase with no life?

Perhaps you should simply be asking yourself, no? After all, you seem to have all the answers, right? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

And, BTW, have you asked yourself the very same question you posed to me? Maybe you should? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Or is this yet another rhetorical question? http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/wink.gif

Have a great day all! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

I asked you two/three questions.

1. Do you ever stop to think why people get irritated by your incessant posting?

I will post maybe 5-10 times each day when I am here. If you think that is incessant then you are a bigger nutcase than I thought.

2. Do you suffer from some sort of attention seeking disorder?

Why else would you want to post so much crap every day? Does it make you feel good to see your name on 90%+ of the threads on the first page? I will post a contribution to a thread and occasionally start a new one. Again if my "normal" posting patterns mean I am seeking attention then, once again, I think yoiu are a couple of cans short of a six-pack.

3. or are you just a sadcase with no life?

Do you have a life? Considering how much time you spend here and searching news sites I can't see how you can have anything but a very sad life.

I, on the other hand, have a very good life. I enjoy coming to FT to add value and to have a laugh. However, FT is not my life. I have many interests away from here as I do not spend all my waking hours posting.

You are just perfect, incredibly so, and I'm glad to hear it! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/biggrin.gif

Yet, you'll please hopefully excuse me, if I admit to being somewhat grateful that I'm perhaps a bit different than you are! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Surely FT would be a far better, if not an ideal place, if we were all just exactly like you, no?

Enough said?

I've never claimed to be perfect.

No it would not. FT benefits from having people with a variety of experiences, cultures and ideas. It does not benefit from attention seeking sadcases such as you.

Again, apart from reiterating that I am indeed extremely grateful to be such a "sadcase", the last word is yours! http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/smile.gif

Yes Doc posts a lot. But I like having all the news headlines in one place and if I want to read it I follow the link. Saves me tons of time looking for all those articles on my own. I missed him while he was gone as I had to put forth more time and effort to get the news.

I also suggest a moderator close this thread down as it seems have become nothing more than a back and forth between 2 people.

Once again, if you don't want to read something, skip it. It is that easy.

Ditto Baze's comments.

Moderators have posted on this thread... can they now close this thread?

I just went to "In The News" to see just how many useful new threads either Lex Passenger or Gaza added recently to that forum.

Very easy to criticise folks. A little harder to actually contribute something useful.

Nuff sed.

Gaza contributes. He has spent an inordinate amount of time criticizing moderators in Randy's forum. Go figure. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/rolleyes.gif

I have no problem with him posting links to "In the News". However, the problem is he doesn't confine himself to posting the news links only "In the News". He duplicates the posts in various other forums. If he confined himself to "In the News" there would not be an issue IMHO.
