Gibraltar Airport

Don't know if I should put this in this category or airlines - basically, I wanted to warn anyone flying British Airways to Morocco to think twice. Back in '99, I purchased a BA ticket, NYC to Casablanca, connecting through London, flying from London on GB Airways, a subcontractor. They stop in a British colony, Gibraltar, and that enormous rock possesses a micro-climate which creates unimaginable windstorms, which really can be quite dangerous! I don't even know how they can let planes fly in and out. On our way back from Casablanca, the pilot made an attempt to land, and it was SO windy, it became apparent merely 50 feet or so from the ground that we could not land safely, the plane was rocking back and forth, it was so frightening! He ascended and took us to nearby Malaga. 1) I will NEVER again accept a routing through Gibraltar (although as a side note, it makes an interesting destination in itself, and is worthy of a visit); and 2) I will not be flying GB Airways.
