making flyertalk airports a bit more active
Let's face it, FlyerTalk airports has seen very little action since introduced.
It seems to me that, like it or not, most of the "airport" oriented discussions seem to take place in the board for the airlines for whom it is a major hub, rather than in FlyerTalk airports.
I understand this: people want to see all relevant info in one place. I don't like having to make the special trip into FlyerTalk airports just to see if there's anything new... mainly because it is so rare that there's anything new.
So the question is, how to help build the activity level in FlyerTalk airports to reach the "critical mass" point where people will continually make the effort to go there.
One way I can see is to make it a little easier to get people from FlyerTalk Miles to move to the relevant airport section by putting links at the top of forum for an airline with links to the forums for that airline's major hubs.
For example, in the Lufthansa forum, there could be a link to the FlyerTalk Airports forum for Frankfurt. In the British Airways forum, there could be a link to the FlyerTalk Airports forum for London.
I think this would drive much more traffic to the FlyerTalk Airport forums, and would encourage people to put airport related topics in the airports forums.
