Being able to see which replies in a thread are "new"

FlyerTalk signifies by using different icons which forums and which threads have activity since one's "last access date" cookie. It would be helpful if there was some easy way of telling which replies within a thread are new since one's "last access date", too. For example, right now during this reading session, for threads which I'm interested in reading, I have to visually scan down until I find the first reply since July 7, 7pm, since that's when I last read FlyerTalk.

(Randy, to pass on to your technical folks, it seems to me that this should be possible without burdening the FlyerTalk servers. The FT servers can serve up exactly the same page with the text of the thread to every Web browser. The page can have embedded client Javascript which runs on the Web browser and uses that browser's document object model to dynamically change -- for example -- the text color of the poster's FlyerTalk handle to indicate whether that particular reply is older or newer than the "last access date" cookie. The key to making this work is that each reply then has to have an easily Javascript-parseable date for comparison purposes.)

This is a feature supported in newer versions of the software (the old Flyers'Places had it). The little icon which appears at the top left corner of each post (the "dog-eared" page) is yellow for new posts since your last visit and white (as it is) for old posts.

A software upgrade in the future perhaps?
