FlyerTalker E-mail Addresses

i needed to send an email to select flyertalkers today, and had to find their addresses by searching through past posts -- a little time-consuming, i found.

would it be possible to have a link to all ft email addresses on one page?

thanx.

It seems like a great idea, but I'm worried about it becoming a target for spammers. Its very easy to download that page and harvest all the email addresses, even if they were obfuscated.

I agree with Mark---to easy for spammers to target us. We get enough spam now, no need to invite more.

Agree with previous 2 posts. If you want to email XXX or zzzz or bbbb surely finding them is pretty darn easy on search if you know which is their "usual" forum?

MileCrazy,

We don't want to post a list of email addresses for two main reasons:

1. It would make it too easy to harvest and add to bulk email lists, or some other nefarious scheme.

2. Privacy issues. Some FT'ers don't want their email addresses disclosed, so they choose not to display them publicly, which is their right. Even those that have theirs public may not want to have them "too" public, if you know what I mean.

So, I guess reason 2 ties in with reason 1, making it one reason, but I'm sure you understand.
