Today's Active Topics
Is it possible to have the names of "thread starters" attached to the names of threads when entering the boards through the following:

thank you

That's a very good question magic111. I'm not sure I understand "exactly" what it is you are asking for but I intend to clarify that with you and see what I can do to implement it.
Can you give me a little more feeback on what you want to see happen here?
Thank you for your patience.

I believe (although may be incorrect) that the fastest way to see what is being posted today is to enter through "Click Here To View Today's Active Topics (all public forums)." At least on my computer it takes some time to back up to the Bulletin Board and then go to the next forum with a light on it.
At the same time it slows things down to open threads from known individuals who are consistently posting in the wrong areas. By seeing the name of the threadstarter one could skip over those threads if one so chooses or vice-a-versa one could go to threads only of those individuals if one wanted to.
Anyway that is the premise.
Thanks again

Michael,
I believe what magic111 means is that when you go through the Main listing of Forums the Column Titles are as follows:
Topic Topic Starter Replies Last Post
If you click on the Click Here To View Today's Active Topics (all public forums) hyper link the Column Titles are:
Topic Last Posted To Forum
As you can see the Topic Starter column is missing.

Just to claify even more, if you're still confused:
Is it possible to put the name of the person who started the thread on the Active Topics list?
This would be helpful because sometimes when I'm in a rush I don't want to read topics from people prone to answering questions often. I will go back to those on a more thorough check of the boards when time permits.
Thanks!

It would be even nicer to see the name of the person who started the thread and the time the last article was posted.

Perhaps we are discussing which fields of the data base should/can be displayed.
Since its a wish list i ask for as many as possible - but if there is a limitation "topic starter" is my first choice.

Thank you all. Some great feedback here and I believe I now have enough of a handle on the subject to implement it. Sorry for my density.
I'll attempt to get this into play as soon as my time permits.

I don't mind if you can really realize our wishlists without creating new problems - please.

Thanks again Michael for your assistance, whether or not it can be done.
Rudi - If it can be done it would surely solve some problems - like the opening of someones "multi-postings". Just hope it dosen't create any new ones and i'll trust the techs to decide that since i don't know.
