Let's use UTC for the system clock
I have noticed that the time zone used by the FlyerTalk computer to date-stamp posts seems to be set to a time zone in use somewhere in Western Canada or Western United States.
Because the FlyerTalk participants are from all over the world, may I suggest that the administrator set the system clock to use UTC (Universal Co-ordinated Time, called "Zulu time" in the old days)? This is what all the airlines use world-wide as operating time, in order to eliminate time zone confusion. It is also the time used when filing flight plans, getting ATC clearances, etc.
Just a minor suggestion (would also make the time appear more sensible for us European posters).

I agree completely. The time currently used is "Mountain Standard Time" (UTC-7), which is local time at the Flyer Talk Supreme World Headquarters
, hidden deep within a mountain in the Denver area.
Frankly, (and this is for the benefit of the WebFlyer folks) the only people who think in terms of Denver time are the people who live there (or Albuquerque, etc.). However, there are plenty of people world-wide who think in terms of UTC, in addition to their local time.
Here's my vote for UTC (which is still called "Zulu time" in certain contexts).

That would also require a reprogramming of the Today's Active Topics feature, as the cutover point would fall at 7pm USA-Eastern, a likely time for the middle of a session in probably the most common time zone of people here. (Frankly, I'd say "last 24 hours" or "since your last logon" even if it weren't for that.)

Rudi, in essence I agree, but I think plus 1 hour would be better!
