Food Thread?
I know we already have more categories than most people ever use in this lifetime, but it would seem that a food/drink thread would be in order because we have so many requests and concerns about restaurants as we travel.

Thanks for the suggestion, it's actually a very good one. We do have plans for this, though it may reside in another "community". What our plans are (and we're in the middle of it) is to acquire the URL for flyertalk.com At that junction (it's happening right now with the vast courtesies of the community) we'll relaunch FlyerTalk with the addition of other areas such as food. We think food probably has a different type of formatting necessary and it might not work with the current FT format, so it will become a separate area. We've also had requests to build a friendly FT variation of monsterboard and are considering a few things like that. So, we've got a lot of things going on, some are technical (we are in the process of miving to a dedicated server for FT), some are cosmetic ( a new front end), some are necessary (we're in the middle of a technical audit to replace the current UBB bulletin board back end for FT with a more robust engine since traffic is really, really growing) and some are because the community deserves better organization (when the flyertalk.com URL becomes live, you'll all have a chance to grow one community scrap book for a pictorial history of this very, very interesting part of the life of a frequent traveler).
Whew......hope this helps you know where we are going...it is a long and winding road.

If I may bring this suggestion back up to the top...
Good suggestion by Catman to have a thread for food called "Yum" and one for hotels called "Snore".

Snore usually has bad connotation (I guess it is widely used in movie reviews) as well as good connotation (sleep well).

I'll start by saying that I consider alomost any new thread superfluous. However, I consider the following to be more or less noise:
Where to eat in...
What to do in...
What hotel in...
Getting from airport to city/hotel to airport/airport to rental location
Could they (all) be housed in a thread called something like places, cities, destinations, etc. as I am sure they are a valuable resource for many users but they don't sit anywhere comfortably.
