Separate Itineraries Forum

I propose since so many FlyerTalkers are posting where they are going and how they are earning miles... that we should have a SEPARATE FORUM for our schedules.

This will also make it easier for people to see if a FlyerTalker friend or two are in the same city at the same time for those impromteau and wild and crazy mini-Flyertalk
gatherings.

We can also use this forum for offering FlyerTalk get togethers.

OK, let those opinions rip (and watch out for Eddie's newly sharpened claws!)

Sounds good to me, Catmon. Also, I believe your trip to Nawlins left some Cajun in you.
Imprompteau is Cajun for impromptu.

OMNI for JAWS: Maybe it's all those spices and the crawfish I had in NAWLINS.

Maybe when I get to Texas for your F-T party that I'll have some Texas food and start writing in Texan!

Ask, and you shall receive. Starting on Wednesday, May 12th, you'll have two new areas for these types of FlyerTalk topics. Both will be listed in the new @talk area which contains TheBuzz..... First is FlyerTalk Community which will allow all FlyerTalkers to schedule events like the Party in Paradise. By putting these types of events into the Community, it will allow and easy forum for all to really get together in mini-talks all over the world. In additional, we now have FlyerTalk Itineraries which will allow members to post their travel schedules in the hopes that they can meet and greet each other. Once again, having an area devoted to this will allow it to work better among members. There will be additional benefits pretty soon like private areas for "Members", Live Chat and a new MileMessenger which will be an instant messenger for real time communication similar to ICQ, except that it will work behind firewalls to allow all corporate FlyerTalkers to chat and know when fellow "members" are online. These are just a hint of what's to come. And.....I've seen the new FlyerTalk luggage tag ideas and I'm jealous that I haven't yet earned the right to have a set yet, but they will be distintive......

Thanks Randy, this last batch of changes has hit the spot. I also like your ideas for the future progress of this truly unique board.
I for one approve.

Stewart.

Randy-- as others have said here, please pass along to everyone on your crew the kudos they deserve for being responsive to the suggestions, needs, and wishes of the FlyerTalk community, it's just one of the reasons that make this sitethe best.

With all due respects, I don't think we've done as good a job in the last few months as we're capable. We've been short some staff and I've been tied up elsewhere. But, I have carved out the time for FlyerTalk and I think you'll see some real improvements in the weeks and short months ahead. Sometimes it may not seem like it, but we have the best intentions in the world.....

Oh, it does, it *does* seem like it!

If only the other sites (airlines, hotels, etc.) were one tenth as responsive as the FT staff is.

Randy, your responsiveness and openmindedness to suggestions from us are second to none.

You are soooo appreciated...

Thanks!
