I don't think Catman has moved,
since he lives in Joisey and works in NY, I think he might have been at work when he posted

Thank you thank you thank you! And for UBB Code! Works OK for me and a fast cable modem. Hope it works for other types of connections too.

Ditto on the thanks WebFlyer, and Outstanding .gif, BB. Where'd you find it? Or did you create it?

There are hundreds of websites with free stuff. Just a caution--try to keep each .gif to about 10K or less. Many are 1 or 2k and download very fast. I am sure our hosts will turn us off if we try to load 100K and 1 Meg images!

Hi Michael:
Thanks for letting us know. I for one is not too enthusiastic about the UBB image coding for the same reasons you listed on the announcements. (Sorry to everyone who liked those UBB images.)
Even though I access Webflyer on a T-1 LAN (cable modem and 56k dial-up at home), those images can really slow down the server, especially on long threads such as "who we all are" which is >300k in size.
In addition, having a # of the gifs on the screen while reading is almost as distracting/annoying as flashy advertising banners.

It was fun while it lasted, wasn't it! We loved the site when it was only text based and we will love it in the future even if it is only text based. Loved watching catman freak out though, and my Canadian flag is still flying proudly!
