Noticed the Change
Well, the number of registered members than now appear on the screen answered a question I had. Thanks.
Also noticed that Junior Members are labeled as such. While I won't spam the board to get to the 30, I will toss my 2 cents in more often!

I noticed it too. The bulbs are gone then, huh?
I can't really pinpoint what's different, but somehow it looks neater.

I, too, am less than enthusiastic about this 'junior member' category. Readers learn to recognize posters; lurkers usually identify themselves when finally motivated to post; newbies usually start out groveling (I did) so as not to offend old hands. This is all common electronic ettiquette. I guess I'm an elitist in preferring the best in travel but I'm not wild about categorizing people into groups which seem gratuitous.

Changes? What changes? I haven't seen a rental car forum yet. Or a disaggregation of the Buzz. Or any of the numerous other suggestions that have been made. We're still waiting for the "real" changes, FlyerTalk!

True MileKing. These changes are purely cosmetic. I also think that labelling people inhibits people from posting messages on this board.
But the overall appearance seems to be nicer.

timchen: HAPPY BIRTHDAY to you!
and take the upgrade as a flyerTalk-birthday-present to you. I like the new feature to email directly an interesting flyer-talk-subject to a friend. and the bulbs are not gone.
and I promiss to be very kind - as kind as a "teutonic" member with a "germanistic-asterix/obelix-background" can have, to any junior-member.

We here at FlyerTalk sincerely appreciate your opinions and concerns regarding improvements or "upgrades" to our site. Believe it or not we are working on these issues and suggestions that you have offered. We are experiencing expenential growth with this and some things do take a little time to change (remember patience is a virtue). Again we thank all of you for your contributions and hang in there!

FlyGirl... Thank you for all the upgrading to FlyerTalk. And yes, we are patient and appreciate the time you are taking to make this a better site.
Question: will the Southwest Rapid Rewards site replace the current Southwest site. It seems it's redundant sites (like the Marriott Rewards and regular Marriott, I like the latter one.)
If you replace the older SW site can we put the old information in an archive.
Thank you and keep up the good work!

In starting off this conversation, Comicwoman said, "Well, the number of registered members that now appear on the screen answered a question I had. Thanks."
I am *still* trying to find where this number is listed. Maybe I'm just dense, but could someone point me in the right direction?
Thanks.

I did ask the same question to CatMan and BlondeBomber, when they were referring to that "member-number".
BlondeBomber posted 03-01-99 10:20 AM
"I think this was an anomaly (I can't find the number of flyertalkers now). It used to be posted in the top right corner of my screen (one day, one week only) while they were setting up this new board.
Maybe we could get Flyer Talk to get it turned back on.

I too noticed that the number of members is missing. How fleeting...
