Mark Forum Read

Since the change in when FT marks posts as "read" several months ago, I've gotten into the habit of marking a forum as read when I finish looking at the threads I care about in it. This requires going to a menu that is only at the top of the page (though I'm often, having gone through all the thread titles, at the bottom), pulling it down, and selecting a menu item.

I realize this isn't the worst thing in the world. When I stack it up against war, famine and disease it's a distant fourth. Still, when I have to repeat this process a few dozen times a day, every day, it gets annoying.

Is it possible to have a button to mark a forum as read, preferably both at the top and bottom of the page? Or did I miss something really obvious here, like the button is already there or I'm doing this the hard way?

This didn't get much traction the first time, but thought I'd revive it because the competition seems to think this is a good idea. While I don't spend as much time there as I do here, I have to agree with them on this point.
