Default Search settings
Noobs get hit pretty hard in the AA forums for not searching before they post. For example:
I think the biggest problem with search is that by default it searches entire posts instead of just titles. If I just search 'Concierge Key' in the AA forum, (related to the thread above) the relevant thread is at the bottom of the page, because the default setting is searching entire posts.
It seems that searching the entire body of text in the forum would be the most inefficient option, so it surprises me that method is the default.
I think by default a simple search should return either 1) only title hits or 2) title hits first, then threads with hits in the body of the text. Full text searches should be an Advanced Search option, not the default.
I see where you searched before posing this question. Perhaps you missed this pretty definitive thread, where new questions can also be posed:
Concierge Key - new AA Premium Service (consolidated)
Search terms: concierge key

Hi,
it would be hard as most of the times when a thread or topic is started, some relevant discussion is inside the body of the text. And by the topic it is hard to tell what information you are looking for, for example sometimes users talk about certain things related to the topic, but these things cannot be started as a new thread. So, the searching process has to search through the text.
Thanks.
