Bigger mailbox please!
I tried to mail a fellow FTer to check on him but his mailbox is full so my message didn't get through.
I have the same issue too and I know I can download it as CSV and I did but I forgot where I downloaded it (I have been through quite a few laptops and I have too many online drives ...). I know it's my problem but this is not my first time sending PM to a full mailbox.

It would be nice if the gigabyte usage and capacity were displayed prominently in our mailbox.
It would be even better if we could make a one-time payment for an expanded capacity. (Subscriptions? No, thank you.)

The limit for normal members is, I believe, 600 messages. This is combined between Inbox and Sent Items.
I do have the ability to increase this - mods, for example, get a larger limit simply because they receive far more messages including a large number of system-generated ones. Unfortunately, currently there's no halfway house option of - say - 2k. You either have the standard limit or a vastly increased one to take account of the massive increase in volume that mods in busy forums see (and, indeed, we also have to have periodic clearouts). None of this will solve the OP's issue though - for it to work, both messaging parties would have to have space.
Whilst I understand the desire to be able to pay for more space, for the very small number of people that would require this my sense is that IB just is not set up to process those payments, at least not in any effective manner. I'll tag @IBJoel[ here who might be able to provide more detail, but without a change in IB policy from my perspective I'm afraid there's not much that I can do to help.
