Rock72 ^ on the review. Couple of additions:
1. Asia is primarially latino and black these days, but is attempting to relaunch as a mainstream club. Its pretty busy these days.

2. Next door to Asia on Harmon Blvd. is Krave - a Gay Nightclub which is useful knowledge for the numerous GLBT members of FT.

$5 "resort Fee" now in effect

Checked in last night and the $5 fee is now in effect.
I got two 1 litre bottles of Aquafina purified water and a newspaper.
A little bit nervy-but not outrageous like the Cacarinna
Did not sleep in the room-11th floor suite was way to bright to sleep in(flood lights)and I had a bed in a quieter location.
I did win $400 on the way to the Planet Dalies=used the coupon for dinner-good pork chops!
I am going to write a letter about the really poor valet service hotel guest are subjected to here.

Now that the Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino, A Sheraton Resort is unofficially classified as a resort it allows them to put this over on customers. I just did a dummy booking and it shows
Room rate excludes the following:
Resort Charge: USD 5.44 Per Room / Per Night
Quoting the base rate with at the "resort fee" approaches a scam. Please include in your letter a statement about the resort charge.

Did you try to get late checkout? They can now deny that to you also.

"Did you try to get late checkout? They can now deny that to you also"The dedicated platinum check in desk has always asked me "would you like a 4 pm check out time?"without any prompting on my part.
Also points are posted to my spg account very quickly(as soon as the afternoon of checkout!)at this property.

This is ridiculous. Thank god I checked out a few days before this was implemented.

I also am a frequent visitor at this property (Will be back Veteran's Day Weekend to take them for more $$). I am going to have to go against the grain of some of my fellow Ft'ers and say that I have no problem with the 5.44 resort charge. We go to Vegas strictly to party and after table service I usually go and pay the same price for water down stairs anyway's. It just save me a trip

Does it fall within the rules of hotel dining?

Has anyone else had problems with getting hot water to come out of the shower in the Resort Vista rooms? It has happened to me twice now (including my stay this weekend). Pretty annoying waking up and not being able to take a hot (or even warm) shower.

I simply charge it to my room and the points show up.

The hot water takes a long time to warm up. I shared a room, and the second person showering would finally have hot water.

I solved this problem by first filling the tub for a bath, then cleaned myself off with a quick shower once the water became hot.

This is an old problem, and plagued some of my suite stays as well. I recall one room a few years ago where we must have waited almost 10 minutes for hot water to come out of the shower.

that's the price you pay for the view...
my resort vista room was on the 10th floor this time (and i can probably recognize the lifeguards at the swimming pool now) but on the positive side the hot water was not an issue...

That might not be a problem for a while. The pool is scheduled to be closed for the winter season. Nov 1 - Apr 15, according to the website. But it sometimes opens up sooner if there are some warmer days. Check the website for date changes.
