Incidentally, I watched it the other night at Red Rock Station where much of the early parts were filmed. I did find interesting that one of the PH scenes towards the end showed the upstairs former London Club Casino area packed full. I don't believe that this has ever happened

Stayed at PH last Thursday (1 night). We arrived around 10 p.m. and the lobby was pretty empty, but staff still seemed a bit overwhelmed. Waited in the Elite/VIP check-in line for 5-10 minutes while staff sorted out some issues with VIPs (one of the boxers on Saturday's undercard) in front of us. Once we got to the front desk, all went well. We were automatically upgraded to a great room with strip views (1878) and offered 2 p.m. checkout without asking. The room was about 650 sq. feet and nicely renovated (not sure if they all have been now, but we did notice several floors were not renovated in the elevator areas). Only complaint would be the weak water pressure and luke warm temp of the shower.
We had a decent meal at Planet Dailies and really enjoyed Spice Market Buffet for lunch on Friday. All in all, a nice stay. I was a bit skeptical about the whole PH re-theming with the PH restaurants having passed their prime long ago, but was pleasantly surprised by the new design. We're not big gamblers, but found the PH casino to be our favorite casino. I'd definitely go back.

Anyone done the timeshare presentation at PH for the Westgate towers? A friend just got back and said in the PH lobby he was signed up for the TS Presentation, fed him lunch, took 2 hours of his time and gave him $400 in gaming chips which he was able to gamble and end up w/$300 in cash.
I am going next week and will report back on my experience with this.

Quick stay report:
1st time at PH since the remodel. Stayed 2 nights (Tue-Thu) of last week. Upgraded to the strip-view suite (2751); had a great view of the Bellagio and construction across the street
The room was great. Wireless was $13.99/24h (wired connection was broken). No free water. Received 500 points on check-in. Check-in and check-out on the SPG line was a breeze.
Stayed here as my convention was at Bally's down the street. Was only an 8 minute walk from door-to-door.
I didn't spend any time in restaurant or the casino as I was too busy.
Would definitely stay here again; I will never stay at the Westin as PH is a superior property.

Any Platinums have luck at securing a room better than a Strip suite?
Apparently, I am preblocked into a Resort Vista room, which doesn't look all that great. I'm hoping that the $20 trick, combined with being Platinum will get me into the level above Strip, since it is apparently sold out.

The vista is my favorite upgrade at this property when traveling by myself.
The suites have too much wasted space and the bathroom has a silly round tub and the lack of a door to the bath lets in a lot of light and lacks privacy.
The resort room is ok-but I like the Vista much better.
